Today, Governor Steve Sisolak joined the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) to visit the One-Stop Career Center at the East Las Vegas Library to highlight resources available for jobseekers and employers as Nevada employment hits an all-time high.

"We've recovered all the jobs we lost during the pandemic, our economy is stronger than ever -- and we're not stopping here," said Governor Sisolak. "These One-Stop Career Centers are perfect examples of the work we're doing to create a more diverse economy, bringing together resources Nevadans need to find good-paying jobs, get training and help employers find workers as well."

The Governor and DETR announced on Friday that employment reached a new all-time high of 1,452,600 jobs -- 3,000 more jobs than the previous peak from February 2020. View the full report here.

The One-Stop Career Centers bring state and local agencies together with non-profits to help Nevadans explore careers, find training and search for jobs. By partnering with libraries, One-Stop Career Centers offer workforce training and readiness, financial aid, computer access and digital literacy, resume writing, interview coaching, and connections to local employers.
